The best way to grow your business is to maximize the resources at your disposal. It may not always be readily apparent how you should go about doing that. Let’s look at some areas where you can really stretch resources and use them to grow your business.
Be consistent – Post at regular intervals to all of your accounts
Use all the main networks – Make sure you have a presence everywhere and that you’re pushing out your content to your audience on each specific platform
Format your content per the network – Each network spits out your post on the other end in a different format. Format your posts so they are optimized for each network
Concentrate more energy on the networks that work best for your business – Some networks are going to work better for your business than others. Push out more content to those channels
Keep your content industry-relevant – Don’t send out messages that don’t align with what your business is about
Grow your list – Slap your opt-in form on everything you do online, but most prominently on your website and integrated with Facebook
Segment your list – It’s not enough to just build a list. Make sure you list is segmented so your audience is laser-targeted. All of your list doesn’t need to receive all of your emails
Keep your emails out of the spam folder – Be sure to use a reputable email marketing platform to ensure your emails are delivered to your audience. If they never received them, they can’t read them
Track results – How can you know if your campaigns are effective if you don’t track your results? Most email marketing platforms have an analytics engine to help you track your progress so you can adjust accordingly
Build an authoritative resource – Turn your business into the main authority in your industry. It can seem a bit backward when you’re not selling, but sometimes business success isn’t about selling something. It’s about providing the best information in your industry without an ulterior motive. You may just wake up to find you’re a top expert in your business category
Adjust your focus – Perhaps you started off with a bang hoping to skyrocket your business growth in the early stages. Sometimes all it takes to see a jump in growth is to pull back and narrow your focus a bit to areas that are actively growing within your business
Try a new sales channel – Have you experienced business success on or offline? Maybe it’s time to consider expanding one way or the other. If you’re offline, go online and vice versa
Deeply committed and accessible – Those working with you in your business are your most important resources. They should see you in the trenches beside them on a regular basis
Be bold – Don’t be afraid to be bold in your vision and direction for your business
Let your passion shine through – As a leader, your customers and co-workers need to see that drive and desire to grow you business
Share your success – A company that succeeds together, grows together. When you experience business success, share it with your entire business, post it on social media, and let people know you’re the best
